This is a weak pre conference schedule with only Colo at home, Saint Louis in Vegas and So Cal at Staples and Illinois at their place. Hardly a high SOC preseason and then we run into the usual suspects in the WCC with ranked SMC and Gonzaga teams to deal with. As usual, our poor defense and poor free throw shooting from our bigs will cost us easy wins. I would chalk up losses to SMC and Gonzaga on the road see us with a 24 or 25 record and sweating an invite.

Just thinking: 22 regular season + 2 WCC tournament + 1 win NIT = 25 wins for the season ho hum normal Dave Rose year…

I know, it is killing me but I have a good idea these guys will play together at the next level. They beat elite teams in high school is it makes sense that they will continue their winning ways and BYU is adding ESPN 100 talent but…

I do not like the way Rose treats defense something as a strange stepchild. And I do believe that we lose a number of close games on bigs missing Free Throws. It happened last year in a big way with Collinsworth and Davis and it will hit us again this year, I think.

I do think we make the Dance this year and I think the WCC is a three team invite.
